Maymont Park with the twin boys. A week or so ago, we went back to back days in visiting Maymont with friends. It is a great park, and Abby loves to visit the animals, mostly the goats. When we went with Katie, Josey, Courtney and her son we also had a picnic lunch which was very nice! We'll be sure to do that again.Today, March 20, the first day of Spring, we ventured to Welford's home farm and spent the fantastic day there. We rode the tractor, played in the woods, crawled all over the house, and romped around in the grass and fields.
Molly LOVES the farm. We let her off leash and she runs and runs and runs. You can see her between Abby & Welford back in the field. Silly dog runs herself ragged. Ever since we've gotten home she's been sleeping. Abby also hit the hay early this evening, and wanted to go to bed at 6pm! But I made her stay up until 7 by walking Molly and taking a bath.
Abby really loves to be outside, and it is something to see her face when the wind blows. She takes a quick breath in and opens her mouth wide with joy. Oh to be a kid again and find the greatest joy imaginable in the simplest of things. How often we overlook the multitude of magnificent things God has put in the world and in our lives. I am so blessed to have Abby daily show me something that God has made for me that I have long forgotten to enjoy.

But the greatest thrill is discovering it all over again with Abby, and praising God for opening my eyes through a child.
