Dog Days of Summer

Today Abby and I drove up to Fredericksburg to visit a very dear (and very preggo - due Aug. 9) friend.

It is no surprise to me that Abby soon found herself quite at home with Melissa's doggies. However, it was a surprise that she made herself quite at home....

I don't think Chance really knew what to make of this intruder.

So he just ignored her.

I don't think we'll be invited back any time soon.... poor Abby harassed Chance something fierce. :/ But we all had a great time... and we can't wait to welcome Miss Evie into the world VERY soon!

Shovel Buddies

Welford is gone for 2 weeks. So the next few blogs while he is away will probably not be so exciting... but just some day to day things that us girls are doing in his absence.

Like beating Molly with a shovel, then wondering why she runs away when a cuddle is desired.... (video to come... not loading tonight for some reason)

Hello from Ariccia, Italy!

Yes, we made it! And we are all doing amazingly well. Abby, Welford and I have traveled with a group of 19 students, young adults and chaperones. The flights went well, leaving from Dulles, a quick layover in London, and finally arriving in Rome.

So far, we have met many, many friends from our sister church here. And of course, everyone LOVES LOVES Abby. And Abby delights them and is loving them back. She, for the first time, goes to complete strangers! She hugs them, laughs with them, and tonight at dinner, had kisses with them.

Today we went to the Pope's summer home, Castel Gandolfo, after worship, lunch and practice.

Tomorrow we go to Rome! When in Rome..... ;)
