I've been told that once "Whoosit" arrives, pictures of our little girl will quickly replace pictures of Molly. So I thought I'd do a post dedicated to Molly, and hope she will not be forgotten with our new addition to the family.
We are so excited to welcome our little bundle of joy into the world next month! Our love for her grows with each passing day, as well as our amazement that there is a precious little girl growing inside of me. God is so amazing!
This picture is Welford's hands over Becky's belly around Week 34.
Living where we do... Welford and I quickly decided that we are in the Basketball Belt... and not the Bible Belt afterall. Come March each year, it's a maddness you've never seen before!
UNC made it to the Final Four this year! (and ultimately won the NCAA Tournament! Go Heels!) But with Welford out of town, and Lila visiting, Lila, Jenn, Stephanie and I thought we could not pass up the opportunity to experience Franklin Street first hand during the Final Four game... especially if UNC won.
And WIN they did....
Prior to entering the area, our bags were searched for combustible items. Yet students ALWAYS find something to light on fire... holding it up in the air is just questionable....
We had such an awesome time! Yes, and even almost got into a bar fight with the drunken old woman next to us. ;) Because no one messes with a pregnant woman and gets away with it... Greatest gals to be on Franklin Street with ever! We even found Lila after we lost her for 15 minutes after venturing through the crowd. Getting to a fire seemed like a good idea at the time, well... until the crowd surfing started... then I was instructed to get out! I lost everyone when I made it to a safe spot. About 5 minutes later, Jenn & Steph emerged... but no Lila! Her cell phone was in my purse, so we stayed put until she finally ventured to our tree stand. An older woman even noticed I was pregnant and helped me down... very sweet! This was after I saw her nudge her husband and point at me with a shocked expression on her face... she couldn't beleive I had emerged from the crowd and was on Franklin Street amid all the chaos. It was funny to watch. The rest of the time, she kept a very concerned watchful eye on me until I found everyone in my group!
Now I can tell "Whoosit" that not only has she been in Cameron Stadium for 2 games, but she's also been to Franklin Street during the UNC Final Four win!
