Our Lil' Pumpkin

Well, it's been a while friends. Thanks for hanging in there.... we've had quite the summer and beginning of fall. Today was no exception. We met up with two dear friends, Adam & Rita, at Belvedere Pumpkin Patch. And we had a wonderful time!

Abby loved looking for pumpkins once we got out to the field after a quick tractor hay ride.
After finding a few "Abby-sized" pumpkins, she moved on to find bigger ones. And actually picked one up! Now, it wasn't a huge pumpkin, but I was quite impressed with her strength.

And of course we had to visit the animals. Abby would never forgive us if we didn't. She was thrilled to hear the calf "mooooo!" and giggled with delight.
The goats also received their fair share of Abby's love and affection.

We also completed the Maize Maze. It was pretty easy since we could see over the plants (not corn) probably due to the hot/dry summer.... but we had a good time, missed a few rubs and eventually found them, and didn't use any cut thru's made by folks not staying on the path. Going this late in the season, they were everywhere.

Abby finding her own way through the maze, getting impatient looking at the map for so long! She was quite a trooper. It took us a little over an hour to find all of the map rubbing stations and make our way out of the maze. Finding the stations was the most difficult part.


We had quite a fun filled day! Now I just can't wait to carve the pumpkins with our wee pumpkin!
